1010 Marketing Founder and Principal Janice Cain, MBA
Throughout her 25+ year career, Janice Cain has been a consistent top performer, winning multiple industry awards along the way. Her success in Issues Management, Government Affairs, Integrated Marketing, Branding, Channel Marketing, Internal Communications, Public Relations, and Sales support has been across a wide range of industries. After working for one of Chicago's top public affairs firms, Janice was recruited by Budget Rent a Car Corporation's PR department and eventually was recruited by other global companies including Sara Lee Corporation's Foods & Bakery division to manage crisis communications and issues management, and then recruited to join as a practice marketing director for Arthur Andersen where she launched two businesses, including the Outsourcing practice and the IFRS accounting practice in Europe.
Janice's first experience in IT was the launch of Arthur Andersen's Outsourcing practice to manage the finance and accounting for global enterprise customers through two shared service centers in the U.S. and Spain, as an early cloud computing model. After Arthur Andersen's collapse, Janice joined Sun Microsystems where she was named Field Marketer of the Year and received additional honors for generating the most revenue four years in a row through her special events and demand generation campaigns. After Sun was acquired by Oracle, Janice has enjoyed other marketing leadership roles for other global technology companies and has enjoyed serving a variety of publicly traded, privately held and higher education clients on a short or long-term basis with assignments through 1010 Marketing.
With 1010 Marketing, Janice provides marketing strategy, messaging development, lead generation, and special events planning for a multitude of companies with a wide range of marketing and communications needs. Janice consistently delivers high quality deliverables and results that she achieves for clients through her highly strategic and analytical nature, bolstered by a natural ability to find innovation and insights that create competitive advantage and help increase sales revenues.
With a solid foundation of strategic writing throughout her career (websites, press releases, speeches, white papers, video scripts, articles, etc.), Janice has extensive Marketing and Communications skills that are hard to match in one individual or even one agency. Her proven ability to build consensus and collaborative relationships with internal and external audiences helps consistently achieve better than expected results, which has created award-winning deliverables such as this launch video for an ecommerce company.
Janice is among an elite class of the 1% of PR practitioners in the U.S. who have earned the prestigious Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) ‘Silver Anvil’ award (in the Special events category for a PR campaign at Budget Rent a Car Corporation).
Janice earned her B.A. degree in Communications from Michigan State University and her MBA degree from the top-ranked University of Chicago – Booth School of Business.
Born and raised in Michigan, Janice has lived in Southern California, Denver and Phoenix over the past 20 years. A long-time dog and horse owner, Janice enjoys volunteering at animal rescues as time allows.
